I am used to traveling often, and gosh I missed it over the last year. While travel has not quite returned to normal, more travel seems to be on the horizon. Here are my favorite travel products that can help you stay organized while traveling… in hopes that (safe) travel is in the near future for you too.

  1. Mesh zipper bags. These can be used for so many things- organizing cosmetics, snacks, stickers, small items, hand sanitizer, travel documents, etc. They are light-weight and an easy way to keep things categorized in your bags. (linked here)

  2. Packing cubes. These are an easy way to consolidate clothes and save space in your suitcase. I also like to use these to separate categories of items in my suitcase. (linked here)

  3. Kate Spade zipper pouch. I have used this thin zipper pouch (technically a pencil pouch) for several things over the years- 1. to keep and organize receipts for expense reports on business trips; 2. to keep pens on the go; 3. to keep on-the-go makeup and lip gloss; 4. to keep IDs/badges/hotel keys. My pattern has been discontinued but here is a similar one. (similar linked here)

  4. Kid’s backpack. This cute backpack allows your child to carry a few items while traveling. And it comes with a “leash,” just in case you need a little piece of mind your little one can’t run away while you are wrangling everything else. (linked here)

  5. Laundry bag. This one is cute and I highly recommend traveling with a laundry bag to help stay organized while traveling. (linked here)

  6. Ultra-slim hand sanitizer. This hand sanitizer is one of my new favorites. The “credit card” shape and size makes its easy to put just about anywhere when traveling. And, unlike so many others, I do not mind the smell. (linked here)

  7. Bose noise-cancelling headphones. These are pricey, but I do think they are worth it. Noise-cancelling, comfortable on the ears, bluetooth enabled, and wireless. And they come in a hard case that makes them easy to pack. (linked here)

  8. Suitcase scale. Self-explanatory…especially if you push the limit packing a suitcase like I do. Better to know how close to 50 lbs. before you go! (linked here)

  9. Passport holder. I travel with my full wallet too, but it is helpful to have a place to put everything I will need in the airport without having to take out my wallet. I keep passport/driver’s license, boarding pass, luggage tags, parking ticket stub, copy of child’s birth certificate, and smaller bills for the airport (traveling pre-COVID… a lot of places in the airports now do not accept cash). (linked here)

  10. Purse insert/organizer. I carry a large tote most of the time and this has helped me organize my purse on a daily basis. But it has also helped me when traveling. (The one I have is not available on Amazon right now but I have linked a similar one with the exact same layout.) I have tried a few others, but I like this one with the bottle holders and large inner section for my wallet. (simliar linked here)

  11. The Away Suitcase. I have two of these - one medium and one carry-on. I’m obsessed. I have had a lot of suitcases and I honestly think these are worth the hype. And they have a lifetime warranty! (linked here)
