Mrs. B.

Welcome to Mrs. B. Organized!

Organization is not only something I enjoy, but it is something I have practiced both in my personal and professional life. I have come to a point where I want to share some of the ways I stay organized and Mrs. B. Organized is a way for me to share my tricks, life hacks, and ideas with you.

Now, a little about Mrs. B. I graduated with a JD MBA in three years, including law school classes during the day and business classes at night. Honestly, I was a mess. It did not take long for me to realize I did not know how to study properly. Or manage my time. I had to adapt quickly to stay on top of my classes and projects, and find a daily routine and organization system that worked for me. In that time, my career path took a few unexpected twists and turns that ultimately led me to Washington, DC.

I worked in (arguably) one of the most fast-paced office settings imaginable for several years. There were days I did not know how I would make it through the day, let alone the week. Being organized was essential to staying on top of the workload… and to succeed at my job. After a few years, I realized my heart was not in DC and my work-life balance was heading in an unhealthy direction. So I ripped off the bandaid and moved back to Georgia to work remotely and travel to the office in DC on an as needed basis. After a few years as a stay at home mom, I now work remotely for a Fortune 500 company.

I am a licensed attorney. I am a wife to a wonderful and hard-working man. We live a bi-coastal lifestyle (technically, a tri-city lifestyle, but bi-coastal sounds better) for my husband’s career. It’s exciting and can be stressful, but never boring. We move three times each year. Yes, that’s right…three. In February, we pack up and move from our home in Georgia to temporary housing for about two months, then move to another city for six months, then back home to Georgia every October. I am a mom to a beautiful and busy toddler and now a new baby.

Without top-notch organization skills, my life would be absolute chaos… Not to say my head doesn’t spin some days. But it has taken me many, many years to learn how to be organized and be able to enjoy what I call “organized chaos.”

I hope this blog provides some practical ideas on how to manage some of the stress in your life through organization. Stay tuned!
